My grandfather (Opa) escaped German prison during WWII and immediately built a community grocery shop and waterstokery in post-war Netherlands. While others were still processing trauma, he was creating agricultural foundations that served others.

Twenty years ago, I entered the Australian construction industry through irrigation and civil works. I didn't just learn construction—I mastered it:
